I've been living in Taiwan for over twenty years, and have traveled in Mainland China, and other places in the Greater China community. The Chinese collective way of doing things is intense, and seems to be the preferred lifestyle for the 21st Century!

This is one question I get asked and ask myself a lot. I've lived in China about 2.5 years so by no means consider myself an expert but China is one of the most complicated countries I've ever tried to understand and appreciate. As soon as I think I've understood something about Chinese culture or thinking (a bad term but couldn't think of another way to put it) I discover something which contradicts it.
